Hi there,
I’m going to be really, really direct with you today. Everything I write to you today comes from a place of warmth and support — and they’re words I wish I’d heard years ago.
I wish I’d heard them when I was depending on relationships to fix my life or to find my self-worth or to give me a purpose. I wish I’d heard them when I was settling for less than I deserved.
I wish someone had looked me dead in the eye and been honest with me like I’m about to be with you.
There is no reality where a flawed person — as all of us are — can meet all our needs and complete us. They can’t be responsible for our triggers and make us happy when we’re not happy with ourselves. Because they’re just a person with their own baggage. They can’t make ours go away.
